Beverly Hills, CA (November 30, 2010) - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences today announced that 10 live action short films will advance in the voting process for the 83rd Academy Awards®. Seventy-six pictures had originally qualified in the category.

"Shoe" is the third and latest short film written and directed by Irish film-maker Nick Kelly.
Produced by Zanita Films under the Irish Film Board's Signatures scheme, and shot on location in Killorglin, County Kerry, "Shoe" stars Dubliner PETER COONAN as Vince, a suicidal young man, and Cork native PAT KINEVANE as Probie, an interfering beggar.
